| This is what will happen in summer 2010..
jobless.
These few days, I have been chatting with friends who are interning and friends who are ..well..'enjoying' loads of free time like me..
those who got a summer job are spending minutes like hours..
sitting in the office ..and yearning to do something meaningful..
data processing, photocopying, typing, scanning..over and over again..(of course there are a few exceptions :P)
those hours after lunch are hell..much self control is needed to restrain themselves from dozing off..
so what's the point of creating these internship positions? to show off that the companies have capacities to hire intern during the global recession? or just because this is a usual practice?
how about the students? all they want is a reference letter and a line on the CV..
is this what you call a meaningful summer?
So what are we? low skilled labour?
..i remember the term..Qualification Inflation..
a bachelor is nothing..a master degree is a sanctuary to hide away from competition..
but there is a price to pay ..as in real money..
i don't want to spend money when i should be earning it..
The summer is mistful and the future is ..?????
Probably i am not trying hard enough..and probably i don't have the guts to do something extravagant...
the feeling of neither here or there is shit.
i know there is a path for everyone..i know there are opportunities..
but
please give me a sign
